The Head-Up Display from BMW

Munich, Germany - October 6 2008: BMW Welt

The Head-Up display presents important information directly in the driver’s viewing field. A unit in the dashboard projects the data onto the windscreen as a clear, easy-to-read image, adjusted for ambient light conditions, with a focal point just above the bonnet.

BMW Welt is a multi-functional customer experience and exhibition facility of the BMW Group, located near the BMW Headquarters in Munich. It was designed with an 800 KWatt solar plant on its roof by architects Coop Himmelb(l)au.

Alfons Schuhbeck

Munich Viktualienmarkt - October 6 2008: Celebrity chef Alfons Schuhbeck and the bakery company Mueller-brot presented a new bread variety called “Meraner Gewuerzlaiberl with chili”.

Schuhbeck is one of Germany’s top chefs, as well as being a writer, restaurateur, TV cook and businessman.

My son wanted me to buy and take that bread back to Italy, it’s really worth eating ;-)

BMW Headquarters

Munich, Germany - Oct 2008: BMW world headquarters.

The building was built between 1968 and 1972 and declared historical in 1999. The BMW Museum is located right next to the tower, while BMW Welt which presents the current cars of BMW and acts as a distribution centre, opened on the opposite side of the road on October 17, 2007.
