Ferrara Balloons Festival is one of the largest festivals of hot air ballooning in Europe, with numerous teams from Italy and other parts of the world bringing their traditional or uniquely shaped aircraft.

The festival also features concerts, shows, entertainment and a grand Village of the Air with numerous attractions, shops and food outlets.

Cervia (RA), Italy – Sept.12 2009: during the historical re-living of the “armesa de sel” the salt producers unload about 100 tons of salt from the “burchiella” on shore from the section of the canal. Instead of being stored, the salt is distributed free of cost as a sign of good luck.
