This is the personal blog of Nico Tranquilli.
I’m a geek living in Italy, married, with one amazing kid.
My real job is in the ICT field where I’ve been working and practicing for the last 15 years, building and managing internet services and applications. I guess my main interests in life include computing (design and implementation of internet services, software development, unix system administration and tuning,…), photography, snowboarding, new media and anything technology related.

Most of the content on this site is automatically posted by a nice piece of software I wrote: Suckrss.

Suckrss aggregates personal RSS feeds from social networks and automatically repost new content to this meta-blog via xml-rpc calls. Enclosures links are replaced so that you never need to leave the website (photos and videos are overlayed when you click on them); duplicate posts are discarded; a map and a (reverse geocoded) place name are always provided for georeferenced objects.

Yes, there are tens of lifestreaming services out there.. but I wanted to write one from scratch for my own customization needs and that was able to use the popular wordpress blogging software as web frontend (learn more about Suckrss)
