Cervia (RA), Italy - Sept.12 2009: during the historical re-living of the “armesa de sel” the salt producers unload about 100 tons of salt from the “burchiella” on shore from the section of the canal. Instead of being stored, the salt is distributed free of cost as a sign of good luck.

Bologna, Italy - May 2009: Each May the citizens of Bologna carry the figure of the Madonna around the city in procession.

The weekend of the 6th Sunday of Easter Bologna’s most important religious festival is held: the image of the Madonna kept in the Santuario di San Luca descends into the city for the blessing in the church of S. Petronio. The celebration closes with the solemn return procession of the image to the Sanctuary.

Cervia (RA), Italy - 29th International Kite Festival: multiple Kite World Champion Ray Bethell, 81 years old, endlessly flew one kite from each hand plus the other one from his waist.
